    Weistec HHT?

So far the only player officially offering a hand-held tuner (HHT) for my E400 is RENNTech, but Weistec hinted at one coming soon via Facebook. Nothing official has appeared yet, has anyone else heard the same? Would love to combine this with their upgraded turbos to run at the Silver State Classic next year.

Weistec Black Friday Sale includes Cypher HHT

Their Black Friday sale promotes a W.1 or W.2 tune at a nice discount with included Cypher HHT. Not familiar with the Cypher and unfortunately are no details on the Weistec website. Can anyone tell me if it is similar to Renntech's plug n'play OBD module?

I'm familiar with it and it just plugs right in like Renntech's last I checked.

I've been trading emails with Weistec Tech people and finally got the info I need. They require that you have a Windows PC computer to receive the tune. I'm an Apple person and so would have to figure in the added cost of a PC laptop just for the Cypher HHT.

Same with OEtuning/MyGenius, and likely many more. Only RENNTech appears to have a truly plug n'play OBD module so they are back in the game for me. Sadly their HHT modules aren't included in this year's Black Friday sale.

I must be living right. Just checked RENNTech again, and they have now brought out Black Friday prices for their HHT's. Order placed! I also have to commend them for putting up a YouTube video on using their OBD modules, also mandatory to specify VIN and fuel octane used when ordering. Because my Canadian-spec 2016 E400 4Matic Wagon is an odd duck to US-based companies (they generally don't recognize the model) I also included the engine number.

Well how about that? Things worked out in your favor.

Very cool, now let us know how you like it and create a thread on your review!

One other point of info for those doing research, the RENNTech OBD module reads and stores your stock tune and can re-flash back to it at anytime. I was initially concerned it came pre-loaded with a generic stock tune, but not so.
