Full stats and data including curb weight and acceleration from MotorTrend's Dodge Viper ACR vs. C7 Corvette Z06 vs. Porsche 911 GT3 RS comparison

MotorTrend finally put up their data panel showing the full bevvy of test data from their track comparison of the Dodge Viper ACR, Chevrolet Corvette Z06, and Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The video comparison you likely already saw was posted earlier this month.

So what do we learn? The GT3 RS is the lightest at 3243 pounds followed by the Viper ACR at 3368 pounds. The Z06 is the heaviest at 3499 which is not heavy by today's standards but much heavier than previous Z06 iterations.

It is also very interesting to note that despite having the least amount of power and torque as well as the smallest motor the GT3 RS has the quickest elapsed time. This is likely due to having more weight on the rear wheels due to the engine layout as well as the ease of launching the PDK. It's safe to say MotorTrend needs to work on their launch in the Z06 and ACR.

The GT3 RS does have a higher trap speed than the Z06 however. It can not be overstated how impressive that is considering that the Z06 has a larger 6.2 liter V8 motor with a supercharger on top. It's a minor miracle the GT3 RS can keep pace let alone top it in a 1/4 mile sprint. It deserves respect.

The Viper of course is the trap speed king at 127.3 miles per hour making it the fastest of the trio. The GT3 RS gets to 100 the quickest of the trio. Again, impressive.

The Z06 does pull the most on the skidpad at 1.17g yet it can't get near the Viper on the roadcourse. It tops the GT3 RS by just .24 of a second. Basically, it's a driver's race between the Z06 and GT3 RS.

The ACR is the champ and it can run with hardware that costs over a million dollars. It's a shame the car will be put out to pasture soon. It does however make a hell of a statement on its way out.

People who say the 911 is a "poor design" can literally jump off a bridge. It's absolutely insane that this car does what it does with that kind of power deficit. Also, it's a far nicer car inside than either of the other two, and easily makes the best sound. Far more livable too. The two Americans are amazing cars, the RS is truly one of the all-time greats. Someday, I need to have one.

What's insane is people fault it for not beating the Viper or the Z06.

That it does what it does with what is has is mind blowing.

Pcars til I die. While the new American Muscle is very impressive, you see that little flat 6, and "backwards design" with 500HP, and 338TQ posting higher traps, and basically the same lap time as the Z06. Yes those guys over in Stuttgart know what the eff they are doing.

not only can the porsche beat the viper and zo6 in a straight line and hang on a track, the everyday drivability and comfort of the porsche is way above the other two, porsches are extremely underrated and most don't understand to be fast in a porsche around a track takes a very different driving approach then the other two cars. Its a totally different animal and needs to be driven accordingly, and it is certainly not for everyone but for me its the winner every time
