In case any of you are confused on what to buy. California Cab from 2012 on has been spectacular. 2015 in particular is superb IMO. 2015 is pretty much great worldwide.

Was on sale and a 2015 vintage so I went for it:

Very happy with it for $29. If you find it for $30 or under, go for it. 92 point wine in my mind.

Very nice! Will get some. I picked up a few Christophe Reserve/Limited at local TW&B. Also good.

If you guys want a gem for $19: https://www.wine.com/product/antinor...to-2015/260389

Amazed it got 93-92 point reviews. I feel it's definitely close to a 92 but for $20 I mean... can't be beat.

Very deep and dark fruit, maybe a little jammy, with heavy mouthfeel. Enough complexity to keep things interesting from beginning to end but overall straightforward sweeping dark undertones.

Great wine to get you into differing Italian styles.

    Thanks.

So Caymus makes this one exclusively for Total Wine & More. It's $26.99 and the best under $30 bottle I've had to date. Bought a case!

Thanks Sticky. Will pick up Carpineto. The only thing we have near by that I'm willing to spend. Still have half case Caymus's stuff left.

I've been drinking some good stuff lately.

2013 Silver Oak... love it. I don't care if people say Silver Oak is overrated it's IMO one of the best expressions of Cali Cab.

If you are into something different, give a Tignanello a shot. Italian wine made of mostly Sangiovese with some Cabernet sprinkled in. Not cheap but excellent:

I bought this the other day and it is rated 96 points.

96 points Parker for $60 is a steal. Going to try it Saturday while watching the playoffs and we'll see how it is.

Couldn't find Daou around here. Had Silver Oak. Good but not great. Didn't know Prisoners is good. Seen them around here a lot. Will try Chappellet. Looks like their Chardonnay is good too tho I'm not Char fan. Their Bordeaux blend Cab Malbec is $200.

Was it Silver Oak Napa or Alexander? Big difference.

OK, didn't know. It was Alexander prolly as the bottle looked slightly different IIRC.

    This one is Alexander:

It's roughly half the price of the Napa.

Honestly a little drunk. It’s good.

Well I guess it was about time to open it. Amazingly the cork was still good and it smells fruity and tastes fruit forward with slight strawberry hints.
