    • C190 Mercedes-AMG GT R vs. Lamborghini Huracan LP-610 dig and roll racing

Two incredible performance cars here and the Mercedes is actually a tremendous value in comparison. The AMG GT R and its twin turbo M178 V8 starts at $157k which comfortably undercuts the Lamborghini Huracan. The Huracan of course has all wheel drive and a 5.2 liter high revving naturally aspirated V10.

Despite the Huracan having all wheel drive it is roughly 250 pounds lighter. It should be favored in a dig race.

It easily pulls from a stop. This is not a car you want to meet a stoplight.

The roll race from 40-150 is next. The Huracan should have a slight edge in theory based on magazine numbers.

Well, in reality they are door to door. The AMG GT-R is said to do 60-130 in 8.39.

Certainly impressive out of the box performance for both vehicles.

Man that Lambo motor sounds so much better than the AMG.

Amg surprising from a roll because it was tuned, that is the only way it would be able to keep up with that Lambo which traps 5+mph higher.

AMG GTR is a consistent 130mph car from real world individual tests. Also factoring how super responsive 4.0T twin turbo is, I was actually thinking roll race slightly favors Merc.

BOTB did a similar test showing exactly how GTR is slightly faster, thought the Huracan in that particular test has a silly aftermarket wing.

Yes, but it beat an e85 Gtr as well that traps 135mph+, so it’s tuned ...

        the amg traps 127mph max....

maybe the full video should be posted :

        More responsive than a DCT 5.2L V10?

As far as I know it traps max 127 stock and has 577hp....

Turbo engine has a much higher torque and much wider power band. Responsiveness is how fast turbo gets to it. NA is zero response time but much narrower usable rpm range.

You need to check more individual tests. GTR is a very firm 130mph performer, there're a few video even showing it does 130mph back to back to back to back, and to back again. This is a fact.

Thatís right and at this caliber once it gets the jump there is no catching it.

        127mph trap,

Show me these stock 130mph trap speeds.

There is no way A stock Amg beats a fbo e85 Gtr That traps 135-140mph

In that video the driver claims the car is completely stock and then roll races a zr1 and stays neck and neck..... wtf?
Both cars weigh about the same but the zr1 has 755hp....somethingís not making sense

        Exactly, it’s not stock.

If it's tuned it should easily dispatch the Huracan then as the Huracan is not a 135 mph car.

Why are you playing around with magazine times? Go by slips.

That Hurcan has run 127's: https://www.boostaddict.com/content....ile-drag-strip

ZR1 depending on spec is overrated in a straightline.

Then why claim it's stock? A stock GTR should be neck and neck with a Huracan exactly as we see.

Maybe it wasn't trapping 135 that day. You would need data.

Regardless, no idea where you are getting it is tuned from when they state it is stock and it performs exactly as it should for stock as the 60-130 indicates.

The Gtr has min 700hp , the zr1 755hp, that’s almost 125-175hp more than the Amg and that lines up with you.

Huracan at same Palm beach 132 trap

Works both ways, Do you have any 1/4 mile slips for the Amg?
