    • JB4 tuned F32 435i N55 vs. stock 2018 Mercedes-AMG W205 C63 S from a dig and roll

The 435i in the video is tuned with a BMS JB5 pushing roughly 17.5 psi of boost on E85. It has bolt on mods consisting of a downpipe and intake. The 3.0 liter N55 is matching up against a stock W205 Mercedes-AMG C63 S.

Even though the Mercedes is stock and the heavier chassis it is bringing with it a 4.0 liter M177 twin turbo V8 and well over 500 horsepower. A stock M177 S is in the ~465 whp range with ~490 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

The 435i is simply overmatched. It hangs in fairly well all things considering but it struggles against a stock M177 which means if the C63 gets a tune it will be in another zip code.

That is a 30-35k BMW with a tune against a 80-90k new c63s. I would say the BMW did well for the price difference, yes a tune and the Mercedes will be faster but the same can be said for the BMW some pi and a pure stage two and buh bye.

        It's alway playing catch up.

Pure Stage 2 vs. the tune only C63 would be interesting to see.

The BMW did well for the money, sure.

17.5psi peak or 17.5 held to redline? Makes a day and night difference. 4500~7000 (or short shifted at 6200~6500) is the only effective WOT rev range. N55 is known to fall after 5k. 1st and 2nd gear pull touch a bit more middle range and of course traction is key, so 435 can keep up. From into 3rd I bet it gets walked easily, where it's all about 5k~7k pull.

Given all considerations, C63s is close to M4ZCP from a roll. Therefore this is basically another tuned 335 vs stock M4 story.

Given the M4 and the C63 are so close that makes sense.

Interesting the owner thinks the C63 was quicker than M3/M4's he ran.
