    • How does the Mercedes M256 3.0 I6 engine sound? Weistec W2 tuned C238/W213 E53 AMG exhaust note plus VTA (vent to atmosphere) system

Weistec launched their Mercedes M256 tuning offering a week ago with an ECU tune as well as catless downpipe. The switch from a V6 to an I6 is a big change for Mercedes and the M256 is going to be a staple going forward especially for 53 AMG models.

The C238 E53 AMG coupe in the video below has the Weistec catless downpipe and Weistec ECU tune.

Weistec also offers a VTA (vent to atmosphere) system allowing for a 'blow off' style sound on the M256. It is a simple bolt on install: https://www.weistec.com/m256-vta-adapter-system.html

How does the Weistec W2 tuned M256 sound? Surprisingly good. The idle is aggressive and it has a nice pitch as it revs out. A full exhaust will make it even more aggressive but this is one of the better sounding turbo I6's on the market.
