        This is some big, big news. Mercedes-AMG created a problem of C63 and E63 overlap ever since they decided to give the C-Class AMG variant the same motor as its E-Class big brother. The current generation W213 E63 and W205 C63 share M177 V8 engine variants respectively.


        The main difference is that the E63 offers 4Matic all wheel drive while the C63 does not and is rear wheel drive. Is that about to change?

        At the Star Experience event in Bulgaria Mercedes-AMG had a 4Matic W205 C63 on display. When asked if this would be a production model, the AMG rep simply smiled.

        It is no secret BMW is bringing a G80 M3 to the market with all wheel drive standard. Perhaps this finally convinced Mercedes-AMG it is ok for the C63 to again step on the E63's toes?

        We will know more soon but the all wheel drive C63 AMG of your dreams already exists.

          Anyways, this is awesome news. I love AMG, I the C43 I tested was fun but not a rocket, this makes all the difference.... Will completely smoke the RS5.

          Considering the C63 AMG RWD already weighs 3,874 lbs, do you think the AWD will push it past the 4,000lb mark?

          Yes, @TT C6.

          But since this doesn't have DCT + AWD it still won't make his list. Not that he would be able to buy it anyway.

          Wow this is great news! Looks like its the AMG 4matic that used in the w212 E63 with 70/30 split, and not the 4matic+ that can go RWD as in the W213 E63.

          Actually, I believe it's a 33% / 67% split. Hopefully, it doesn't have the W212 E63 TCU torque and power limitations.

          Just for perspective, the 4matic added 155lbs to the w212 when 4matic was added i believe...
          I would assume this is for cost cutting since this Gen is coming to an end or fitment issues.

          The AMG Performance 4matic in the w212 can be UP TO 70/30 according to head of AMG, Tobias Moers. This is from a video he did with car and driver.

          Unfortunately.... TOO LITTLE , TOO LATE !!!!!
          The C63 also deserves the DCT from the AMG GT.

          I moved on to a new 2016 SS Sedan with a PROPER transmission (stick), and added a TVS2650, long tube headers, and meth injection. It's the ultimate sleeper and daily driver.
          Also picked up a 2020 BMW s1000RR this summer for a nice track toy. Only one track day so far, but many more to come.
          Have an order in for a Z51 C8 to replace my C6 ZO6, and will trade up for the twin turbo C8 ZO6 when it's available.

          Meanwhile, you're accusing other people of being broke, but you've NEVER owned anything FAST,
          and you make monthly payments on SLOW entry level cars.

          With all that said, God Forbid anything happens to my supercharged SS Sedan.
          But, if so, I'd probably pick up this AWD C63s.
