so for nearly 33k euro extra, you could have something that still doesn't compete with an RS3. NOPE

You could say that about a lot of cars. This is a different class of vehicle.

        Guess it isn't for you.

        Boring certainly isn't accurate though.

I think itís a matter of choice some people like to own a fast medium size sedan some large some like to tune 4x4ís in the end of the day itís a matter of choice and someoneís ability to want to tune or not and what there preferences in life are

I been really researching GAD the last few months and i have to say im impressed with them. They seem to be doing really good work, with good research in their platforms, and bringing out quality products with results.
I might looking to get a TCU tune from them soon for my E63S

Anyone have specifics of what this mechanical gearbox reinforced is about? Or pictures. Im guessing this is added bracing to the trans to the body or a different trans mount?

They do great stuff I just don't know why their US marketing is so poor.

i chatted with them a bit this morning, it doesnt seem they do any remote tuning, and you have to send the ecu to them to do any tuning and such.. but regardless, putting a kit together to sell and ship should be easy.. same goes for shipping a ecu.. not sure but they feel that USA hasnt caught on and showed enough interest in them so they arent ready to invest time to promo in the usa.
the rest of the world has enjoyed their products, and i too believe they make good quality stuff! Would have loved to see more detailed accounts and breakdown of their products!
They seem like a very cool and interesting company, with good quality stuff, and a complete tuning solutions for alot of amg’s.. They are the only ones besides Renntech who have actual access to remove the tq limiters in the tcu which has really hurt ON ROAD performance of alot AMG’s in the usa who make big dyno numbers and weak real world performance.

this is for the dual clutch, not for the MCT 7 ans MCT 9 speeds..

Regardless, when they say “mechanical reinforcement of gearbox” im assuming a brace or diff mounts.. i dont assume a clutch..

i know they make TCU trans software which removes Mercedes benz big tq limiters, esp for the M157 MCT 7 which has been a big power killer on road for so many years now, just recently coming to light.

True I was thinking dual clutch M178 for whatever reason.

There are upgrades though for the MCT.

Biggest upgrade in the market right now for the MCT 7 is removal of tq limiters via software.
Renntech and GAD are the only ones who have access to these tables it seem and actually offer it as a software tcu tune.
Renntech is the only option for US USA guys..
As per my convo with GAD this am:
“But now we are not ready to invest time to promo to US market”

With the lack of transparency in their products, shady customer base, and their un-interest in selling products, especially now in the USA. There really isnt any reason to talk about them anymore.

When did Renntech announce access to the TCU?

I believe its been about 2-3 years now.. its a bit pricey at 2,500$. 99% of customers think this a tcu tune for speeding up shifts.. thats incorrect.. this actually removes the tq limiters in the tcu, esp from 1st and 2nd where it really kills power.
Ive been bringing this to light more and more, and i will share datalogs in another thread when i have time.. massive throttle closure and boost reduction in first gear and second, no matter what tune you run and boost it requests, the tcu kills the fun..

As the second wave of owners for this platform has arrived, this usually means progression and more interest in tech.

This definitely should be talked about more. Maybe I'll put up an article.

No way Renntech has access to CPC flash required for W213 torque limit removal, everybody is currently scrambling to figure it out. Only GAD seems to have it, and maybe a few guys with leaked info from Germany
