    • Mercedes-AMG X205 GLC63 and GLC63 Coupe get a minor facelift for 2020, remain Nurburgring SUV champs with 7:49.36 laptime

The GLC63 whether in standard or coupe form is an excellent performance SUV. Why? Because it has the brute force of the AMG 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 powerplant giving it the only twin turbocharged V8 in its class.

The mid-size BMW X3M and X4M utilize a 3.0 liter inline-6 powerplant. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio also has a twin turbo six-cylinder powerplant but in 2.9 liter V6 format.

Only the F-Pace SVR offers a lager motor at 5.0 liters but the supercharged V8 powerplant is ancient by today's standards.

The GLC63 proves its mettle holding the Nurburgring production SUV lap record with a 7:49.36. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is right behind it with a 7:51.7.

So what did AMG change? Not much. You get a revised front fascia with wider grills as well as tweaks to the headlights and taillights.

The GLC63 remains the pound for pound champ.

Thanks God they upgraded a more proportional infotainment screen in '20 also. '19 looks like someone forgot the screen and just slapped whatever they had around on lol
