    • AMG readying even more hardcore AMG GT R Pro - AMG's answer to the GT2 RS?

The Mercedes-AMG GT R is already ridiculously impressive. It turns a 7:10.9 Nurburgring laptime and that is not with a factory team or hopped up test car but in independent testing. Arguably, it is the best handling car for the money on the market.

Well, AMG is not stopping there. An AMG GT R Pro is on the way and this is likely the rumored Black Series under a different name. Why the Black Series name was dropped is anyone's guess but AMG is going with GT R Pro.

So what do we know about it? Nothing much other than it will take everything the GT R does and do it better. It will be the most hardcore track ready street car AMG ever built.

Expect over 600 horsepower with tweaks to the aerodynamics and suspension. AMG will likely strip out some weight as well.

Is AMG going GT2 RS hunting?

The official reveal will be next week at the Los Angeles International Auto Show and BenzBoost will be in attendance to get all the details.
