Expect to see more and more 8-second Corvette ZR1's on the factory TVS2650 blower. This is the third AMP Performance ZR1 to hit that 8-second mark and this 2019 ZR1 is running the AMP (Advanced Modern Performance) ZR5 tuning package. In addition it has the ZTK aero option which means this is being done with the big wing and extra drag provided by the aero kit. Two 8.7X passes at over 155 miles per hour: Not a bad way to spend $30k.

What a difference a transmission makes! This is a 10-speed automatic 2018 Mustang GT Coyote and it is running 10's in naturally aspirated form. It is tuned by Palm Beach Dyno located in Florida who added a 2-step through HPT (HP Tuners). The result is a badass bolt on car that is launching very hard as you can see in the photo. That is what a 1.594 60 foot looks likes. There is also suspension work to get that weight transfer. An impressive third gen Coyote and the 10-speed automatic is tremendous.

Mechatronik is known for swapping modern Mercedes-AMG power into classic Mercedes chassis'. This particular swap features a Mercedes-AMG M156 6.2 liter V8 going into a classic W116 Mercedes sedan. The result? Tire smoke, an epic V8 scream, and some sideways action. It is a tight fit but they make it look like it was done at the factory: Frankly, it is surprising we are not seeing more swaps involving the M156 considering what an epic AMG motor it is. The M156 is the perfect candidate for updating classic Mercedes looks with modern AMG muscle. Check out the video below:
