    5.5 V8 in cls w/out power boost goes 12.1 @ 121.5 @ 4000ft elevation

    impressive, i'd be curious as well, though FI cars usually do better at altitude than NA. 121 is no joke, and for that heavy of a car, i cant wait to see what some of the lighter models with the amg engine can do, and then there is the aftermarket Click here to enlarge

    This thing will do 11's stock, no problem.

    It is going to be a tuners sweetheart, we will see these tuned left and right. Impressive numbers although I'm wondering if they are Vbox.

    pretty cool they sell offer a tune (performance pack) that offers an extra 32hp and 74 trq...obviously aftermarket will offer much better for less....still cool thou

    The point is basically to take a chunk out of the aftermarket for themselves. You know how old guys are with their obsession with "warranty" and so forth, many will opt for it.

    With the performance pack I think mid to low 11's may be realistic.

    Just don't expect much room on the table after the PP or aftermarket tune, the turbos are small just like on previous TT applications. MB/AMG won't let the pony (63) outrun the horse (65).

    Yes. Turbos are limited to 1.0 bar without PP and 1.4 bar with PP.

    Ugh, they are? Not this again. Well, it is going to be a nice long while before we see serious turbo upgrades and considering nothing can be done with the OEM manifold it will not be cheap.

    unless the oem mani has a good enough flow layout that an upgraded probably equal length mani would be only for those looking for extreme power. just like on the n54, the stock mani isnt that bad, and comapnies just swap chra's. maybe the same can be done for this engine, would be nice to have twin BB ceramic chra's instead of the stock cast water/oil cooled wheels/chra.

    With this motor it shouldn't be as big of a problem as with the V12. It has been years and nobody has aftermarket manifolds available for turbo swaps but that motor is limited on space.

    I expect this engine to have a far more aggressive aftermarket.
