Doubt we have much of a soccer following.

I'm interested in it every 4 years.

Nah, I can't get into club soccer. When it is the World Cup and people are playing for their country I can really get involved cheering my country on as they are playing with heart. I feel an attachment to the players and the game that can not be mimicked in the Euro leagues.

Watching a bunch of millionaires running around playing for the prestige of some club I could care less about just is not exciting to me.

I enjoy soccer, but all those big money European clubs mean nothing to me. They should make the World Cup happen more often.

Man world cup is unique because it's held every 4 years , less than that it will be harmful it.
and playing with heart for your country team belongs to decades ago.Now these days players play with their heart for money.
But you have to know world cup isn't in the top , every teams come for gold medal not playing beautiful football , like this year which as everyone said was completly boring.i agree you with clubs , these clubs are good for their owner not for Football itself
now ,if you want to watch a beautiful match (some day if you are in the right mode) try UEFA Champions League , it's in the top

I can understand how a higher average talent level will make for more beautiful football but it doesn't make for something that engages me. There just isn't the connection there that I have with the World Cup.

Yes, if the World Cup was more often it would not be as special. It would get me watching more soccer though.

Sorry HeroSina, I couldn't care less about socker.
I get up at 4:00 AM if need be to watch F1, with laptop on the couch for the live timing. Click here to enlarge
I missed most matches last summer. Only when the Dutch team progressed I started watching, but I was ashamed about how they played in the final, and also about the hero welcome they got after that match when they came home.

Click here to enlarge Spain, Argentina, Brazil, if you want to be worldchampion you 'll have to be able to beat them all.
I can not remember a match where they got so many yellow cards, it was just a joke.
I am really glad the WC is not coming to Holland in 2018.
The demands of the FIFA were rediculous, and the most corrupt land got it in the end.

Of the contenders for the WC 2018, yes.
Spain, Belgium and Holland, and England were the other contenders.
England expected to get it. It was a mayor upset over there when Russia got it.
+ there were a lot of rumors about corrupt officials in the FIFA.

Man it was Casillas match , saved Spain 3 times. And the refree ,no need to say anything about refree which was a complete failure.
Holland beat Brasil , what else do you want? 2nd isn't enough for you?
Man you are glad World Cup is not coming to your country? Dude look at South Africa , do you know World Cup what did to them? it's was like the country was built again!

Ehh no, This was the WC where we were gonna be World Champions. We were second 2 times before, this would have been the one.
All the quality was there, it just was not to be.
