The Akrapovic Evolution Titanium C63 AMG exhaust

Sure looks like a nice piece and I know a lot of people like their exhausts:

    Slip On
    +5 horsepower
    +8 ft. lbs. torque
    19 lbs. lighter than stock

    Evolution
    +12 horsepower
    +16 ft. lbs. torque
    42.5 pounds lighter than stock

I am the first who have bought the akrapovic exhaust here in greece and i can assure you i am very satisfied. The sound is even more aggressive, simply amazing and the car perfoms better. (c63). THe car also has Mkb stage 1.
I want to ask if i should proceed with new program for the exhaust. The akrapovic team claims there is no need

Well, a tune or programming would help you take advantage of it. You don't have to have it, but you like the performance you would certainly benefit far more from a tune. Seriously, best place to pick up power on this motor.

Additionally, do you have any pictures of your exhaust mounted? Just want to see it on something other than promotional material.

Doesn't look like it goes right up to the headers. Anyway, you could make it work.

Why build such a piece of art and leave it the stock diameter, seriously? All of us with the long tubes that have a 3" collector which is most(if not all) of us would have to make a reduction fitting to bring it back down to stock diameter. SHAME!!

I think they are likely targeting the market that is not messing with the headers.

If going with long tubes I think that answers the question on using this exhaust, you will likely want something with wider diameter tubing.
