CLK430 Rear-Mount Turbo
Same guy with the E320 did a rear mount turbo for his friend.
Making an extension harness for the MAF.
Done, minus wrapping up the harness.
Basline Dyno, you'll see the reason for the low numbers later lol.
Checking some wiring schematics..
About to kill myself
In car piggyback ecu, AEM F/IC-8
Done besides hidding the ununsed wires
Running with the AEM F/IC-8
Gross, I think there might be some Herpes in there:
If this isn't the beefiest electric oil pump lol...
Ugh so that electric cutout he said he had, where'd it go? Amazing welding job.
This muffler probably cost more than half the turbo kit lol:
Performance exhaust turbulence
The only part of his catback being retained:
Before I head to the shop to put the turbo on I had to do this
What could these be for?
A hoss-ass oil pump maybe?
Mounting nuts from behind:
The Y-pipe which will be the starting point of the turbo up-pipe.

Building the feed line:
Oil feed setup. There are 12x1.5mm aux. bolts in all Mercedes since 1980 for oil accessories. Makes feeding the turbo easy and simple.
Big 10 AN drain hose, excessive but the pump can handle it.
Oil pressure is obviously not a problem
Return lines finished
Stainless ties ftw
No bulkheads or atleast grommets? That is almost a guaranteed failure when passing through sheet metal with no protection.

A shot of the intake and turbosetup. 3" Silicon flexi-tube, a NOS flexible intake I got from Tweeks for a 944 Turbo. Wrapped in heat tape just be safe. He drove it hard on his 740 mile trip back home so it's gonna last a while. Exhaust is wrapped and I used worm clamps because I don't trust stainless ties to stay secure at 160mph .
A shot that shows the airfilter and MAF location. He drove the 74 0miles in a bad rain storm nearly the whole way and didn't have a problem.

I'm not a big fan of rear mount turbos but I respect what went into this. Seems the tuning was solved with an AEM piggyback.Chrome Space Bar Issue: http://www.boostaddict.com/showthrea...338#post738338
