    Help me choose new tires!

Its about time I get some new tires, please help me!

    I have a 2009 e90 lci 335i with the M Sport package and I have the OEM BMW 18" 193M Wheels.
    Specs:
    Front: 18" diameter, 8" width offset ET34.
Stock Tires: Michelin PS2 Run Flat 225/40/18

    Rear: 18" diameter, 8.5" width offset ET37.
Stock Tires: Michelin PS2 Run Flat 255/35/18

The stock PS2's weren't bad by any means, but I definitely want more traction.

    I was thinking of getting:
    Advan AD-08
    Nitto NT-05

Got any recommendations or even hookups to get discounted tires?? Click here to enlarge
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you are going in the right direction, PS2's are stupid expensive and I won't be running them again.

Honestly, ebay is a great place to get good tire discounts.

I don't have anything constructive to add, just that my Toyo T1-R's are there for fitment and not for traction. GL with the change

The R888's are basically an R compound... not really a realistic everyday suggestion but in California you can get by with them.

I want something that will last me around 10k miles with hard driving very often. I'm not talking about donuts and burnouts everyday, but lots of medium to high speed cornering on Sunset Blvd and the like Click here to enlarge

R888s are crazy but I have heard horror stories of them barely outlasting a tank of gas haha.
My friend ryan just got RE11s on his gintani/OE tuned e92 M3, I am gonna see how he likes those and probably make my decision from there.
It is pretty much up to what is the lowest cost now. RE11s, AD08s, or NT05s.

With my size specs (stated in the OP), do you think I will be safe running 235/18 front and 265/18 rear? (245 front maybe?)
And thank god I am getting rid of runflats, they are too damn stiff.

This choice is one I have to make when switching back to the summer tires next spring.
I actually was going for the PS2's because I loved them under my E36 328i. But the hp my car has now is almost double of the 328, so I'm in doubt. The choice of new tires is always a gamble, and you're stuck with them for at least a summer if you choose poorly.
What works on 1 car might not work for another. Front / rearwheel drive, suspension setup aal make a difference which make testreports only indicative.
The R888's are no option for me, because the roads are wet here for half the summer.
The Re-11's sound great. Ik found a test where they come out really good.
    http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....=yes&tab=Tests
Of course they are not sold in Europe... So not an option for me.
    And they are not RunFlat...
I really don't like the BMW repair kit, filling my tire with sticky foam and instantly writing off the tire in case of a flat tire. And a spare wheel is not an option eather. I am curious to what you might choose and if you like the outcome.

Thanks man, however, I found out that if I get PS2's again then my tire insurance will reimburse me; but not for any other tire.

really depends how you drive. I think the PS2 lasted me 8k miles. I think they rate them for 12k miles but thats everyday driving.

my PSCUPS (R compound) lasted 2500 miles on my GT3. I hear the R888 last a little longer.

I expect my RE-11 to last maybe 6-7.
