    PP-Performance tuned TT-RS vs. PP-Performance tuned Alpina B3

We have two videos of runs between these two tuned cars which are very evenly matched. The TT-RS is claimed to have 450 hp and the Alpina B3 500 hp. The specs on the B3 are updgraded turbos, downpipe, intercooler, no cats, and PP-P tune. The TT-RS has no cats, aftermarket downpipe, and a PP-P tune as well.

The TT-RS is around 3200 pounds.

It is a bit odd since it is sending that power to all 4 wheels.

yea i was really surprised after reading the specs...

the 335 has bigger turbos and a tune and still just kept up? i read the other bolt ons but still after just reading that and seeing the race i kinda got dissapointed. an inline 6 3.0L with 2 turbos not even stock ones (which are still reputable) kept up with a 5 cylinder 2.5L with one turbo. and not even a big turbo lol stock k04...

The ttrs is really showing its colors. i cant wait for a BT upgrade for that. i'm sure it will be able to stand with some GTR's...

I would LOVE to own a TT-RS, especially in a snowy climate. To be honest, I think all the Alpina cars are over-rated, I wasn't expecting it to win.

Well... According to PP performance website they only offer this tune for the N54 platform :
    BMW 335i / 135i to 410PS 560NM
    - Frontcatalics replacement tubes
    - Engine ECU OBD Programming
    - V-Max 310 limited electronically
It doesnt state anywhere a Upgraded turbo concept. But maybe... Who knows.

if i recall, aplina doesnt modify the turbo's, but the inlet/outlet tubes. i recal searching for that info before, so i dont know, maybe they mean the tubes, as was copied from their site, and someone mistook it for modified turbo's?

    I think that is right.

The guy who posted the video says both cars have modified turbos.

Find me a car in OH I can have for 2-3 weeks.

I'll ask him, I believe I still have his email. Knowing him if it was available he would have it.

The power numbers seems to be a bit off specially for the BMW, not only by the enviroment speed but also with the climbing of the speed and rpm needle in the audi. My guess is that both are near the 400hp level and have similar whp/weight ratio. The weight advantage of the Audi is reduced by the higher power loss from the awd system.
