Tune update needed for exhaust change?

I'm guessing this is a stupid question but I'd rather be safe than sorry. I learned that my car currently has Renntech short tube headers and I want long tube headers. Will I need to have their tune adjusted after the change? I plan on using these:

Ideally, yes, you will want a dyno tune.

Okay. On that note - how do you feel about Weistec tunes that are NOT done via dyno? Because that's what I'll be getting with their stage 3 supercharger setup.

My original plan was to get the long tube headers done at the same time as the Weistec setup installation. I'd send out the ECU to get tuned and I'll get it back ready to go.

Today I was thinking I'd get the headers done first and then get the Weistec installation done a couple of weeks later. This would help my builder get my car in and out quicker each time and also allow me to potentially have the "supercharger" build done within a week's time while I'm away on vacation. My builder has other things to do and can't focus solely on my vehicle.

Now you have me second guessing and a bit confused... Click here to enlarge

If I were you I would just do it all at once and risk a longer down time. A dyno tune is always best, but fortunately many are running the shelf tune from weistec with their superchargers and are running strong with zero issues.

i see you are also in S. Florida, what shop are you using?

That's probably what I'll do since I can't get a dyno tune. I'm using Global Auto Service in West Palm Beach. They built another car of mine and did a great job...

I'm the kind of person that prefers custom tunes over canned tunes. The default Weistec tune is fine. If you want it perfect and every last horse, you'll need to get it custom dyno tuned.

I wish Weistec had an option to allow me to do some 3rd gear pulls and send them logs for revisions. That would satisfy me. I'm sure I'll be happy with what they give me. It appears others are - unless they're sending their vehicles back and forth or are local to them and they're actually getting dyno tunes...

Its not necessary for a tune, but I would recommend one just to maximize gains with the new setup.
