    Weistec Stage 3 - Removal of Secondary Air Pump

    Okay, what's this about? What do I love by having it removed? Is it difficult to remove? I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row here...

    Your not really losing much. From what I understand the secondary air pump is used strictly for emissions purposes and has nothing to do with performance or smoothness of the engine. Basically after combustion there is still unburnt fuel in the exhaust and the secondary air pump introduces fresh air into the exhaust after the manifold to help ignite the unburnt gases since they need oxygen.

    Secondary air injection is for lighting of the cats primarily when cold. The pump turns on and injects air into the exhaust and helps light the cats. The system has nothing to do with the running performance of an engine. Removing simply makes your car pollute more. So in reference to the supercharger system with headers it is a mute point.
