    Kleemann R171 SLK55 AMG M113 V8 supercharger dyno results with E85 fuel and a Dyno-Comp tune

The R171 SLK55 AMG comes from the factory with a naturally aspirated 5.5 liter V8 with 355 horsepower. The M113 V8 under the hood is used in various Mercedes models and Mercedes themselves has released several naturally aspirated and supercharged versions. As the SLK55 is naturally aspirated (as if it was boosted it would destroy the other AMG models in the lineup as a virtue of power to weight) a little boost goes a long way in increasing output.

The proof is in the dynograph below as Dyno-Comp took an SLK55 equipped with the Kleemann supercharger and added E85 as well as a new tune. They also added larger injectors due to the E85 along with a higher boost pulley and the car picked up an additional 100 lb-ft of torque on top of the originally supercharged figure.

Horsepower goes from 420 at the wheels on standard fuel to 465 with E85, the new pulley, and a new tune. 465 horsepower at the wheels is obviously a huge increase from the factory figure of 355 horsepower at the crank.

The torque increase is if huge as it goes from 440 lb-ft at the wheels to 540 lb-ft at the wheels. E85 is allowing more boost safely along with a more aggressive tune for big gains through the curve.

    Modifications:
    Kleemann Supercharger Upgrade
    BMC High Flow Air Filters
    Wavetrac LSD “Limited Slip Differential”
Dyno-Comp Supercharger Pulley Upgrade Kit (Smaller Pulley)
    Dyno-Comp High Performance Fuel Injectors
    Dyno-Comp Long Tube Headers
    Dyno-Comp ECU Upgrade
