Um. Speechless. You should be very proud. I think this is one of my favorite modified cars of all time. Jaw dropping.

Adding modern flare to classic Italian styling - Yellow 1971 De Tomaso Pantera on HRE S101 satin charcoal wheels

The De Tomaso Pantera was a gorgeous and unique synthesis of Italian styling and American Muscle. The first model was produced back in 1971 which happens to be the model year of the car you are viewing. The Pantera being built in Italy meant it had that Italian extravagance and flare to it but as it was designed by an American it meshed that style with raw American power from a Ford 351 Cleveland V8 for something truly special.

The proportions of the Pantera thanks to its mid-engine V8 layout with a transaxle mean wide hips and a low slung nose. Mid-engine styling tends to have a somewhat exotic quality to it and the Pantera's has stood the test of time. This particular example keeps things looking very fresh while at the same maintaining those timeless proportions. The effect is brilliant.

A set of HRE S101 wheels in a satin charcoal finish mesh incredibly well with the Pantera's sharp edges. The satin color plays off the black accents and yellow perfectly. The red calipers hiding behind the HRE's are tied together to the color scheme of the modified red tail taillights.

Obviously the car itself is stunning blending modern touches with classic design elements. Another example of this is the pop-up headlights replaced with a fixed design which instantly gives the sloping Pantera front end an added hint of aggression.

There is not much left to say. Go ahead and drool.

When I was a kid my dad put a Twin Turbo set up on a customers Pantera and took me for a couple rides in it, it was one of my favorite cars as a kid. This is honestly the coolest one I have ever seen! Bad Ass!
