You know you cant use dynojet numbers on one car, and mustang numbers on the other.

That wouldn't make sense. He dyno'd 45whp more on a mustang, then added 3psi, so even if changing both to approximate dynojet numbers, you'd think it'd be like 713+ versus ~638. That's just adding 15%.

Either way, you can't use mustang numbers on one car, and estimate dynojet numbers on the other.

AND WHY THE HELL DID YOU DYNO YOUR CAR AT 3PSI LESS THAN YOU PLAN TO RACE IT? It just creates confusion when you start posting stuff online.

Either way, Vette walked all over it, good race.

If he's trapping 138 and the 335 is closer to ~130 that's about how he should walk him.

He trapped 132 literally walking out of the gate and on lower boost.

Ok so I was in the right ballpark and it is roughly a 6 mile per hour spread. That's big.

No, I had thought he trapped 132 at 20 or 22 psi, he raced the vette at 25psi, so not sure what that would equate to. TBH I think this race was a result in power curve and instant power by the Vette. I guess I'll just have to race him and find out for myself Click here to enlarge @SoFlaZ06

Corvette has gearing and aerodynamics in its favor and pull insanely hard well past 100. A buddy of mine had a 700whp supercharged c6 and I was blown away how hard it continued to pull all the way to 160 before he shut it down.

Oh for sure, there's no doubt Corvette's are roll racing monsters. I honestly think the new stingray will be giving the UGR Lambo's a run for their money in the not so distant future. Would love to see how a Alpha 12 GTR fairs against that 1200whp LMR stingray.

Yeah my buddy sold his 08 C6 and bought a new 12 or 13 C6 grand sport and just put on a edelbrock roots style blower. So once I have my Vargas stage 3s I'll run him but have little to no hope about winning.

Well Sitcky I would expect you to know that traps very closely relate to WHP. You can have a guy trapping 138 and running high 11's and oneguy trapping 138 and running 10's. Why is that, because ET numbers are very dependent on many factors, traction, RWD / FWD / AWD, tires used, weight of the car, etc, etc. But traps usually tell you the WHP story, so if this guy is trapping 8 MPH more than the bimmer, than no he isn't making less power than the Bimmer, plain and simple. Sounds to me like this Z06 is sandbagging his ass off, which is always fun for street racing, but when you bring it to a forum where people are going to pick over everything. Bad idea.

It is what it is. I'll post dyno jet numbers from this run tomorrow.
His car is quite simply faster than mine. No big deal.

Traps will tell you the WHP in relation to that platform usually but they do not equate among different platforms. A 138 car will walk a ~130 car. That's what happened. It doesn't matter if the 138 car has less HP it's faster.

If you say so Sticky, since you have so many years of drag racing experience under your belt. What is going on here is very simple, and happens in street racing all the time, guy takes car to dyno, makes XXX, challenges guy too race saying I made XXX on the dyno you made XXX on the dyno, during the time before the race, either shot is increased in the case of NOS cars, or in FI cars, the boost is turned up and and the car is retuned. No magic here as people want to make it out to be, from a roll the car with more WHP will pull away, from a dig not always the case. The End, and unsubscribe
