no. old people are cool here. I've had a few girlfriends here and made some great friends but this just isnt the place for me. enough is enough.

its a vacation / getaway spot and I've out-warmed my own welcome. I have a good reputation with all my friends and business contacts in NY.

there's no good reason for me to stay here. im in a dead end spot.

Got the back pain myself... But it's gotten better, have you found out if it's disc or muscular pain?

Anxiety is something you can beat for sure bro

It's multiple herniated disks mostly in my neck but i have bulges and spinal stenosis down to the thoracic and lumbar spine.
that includes nerve compression and a few other problems. and my spine is still crooked so one hip is up a bit higher than the other.

at least the sport seats give good support

Florida has some SUCK to it.
The constant breathing of moist air, the elderly or incompetent who don't even look in their rearview mirrors to see if they're holding up 20 cars
and the fact that when a tidal wave comes, we're done for.

Damn! Sorry to hear that it is disc/nerve related. Muscular pain can often times be hashed out with a good therapist.. Keep in touch bro. I know a few good MD's in the Jersey area, I'll call them if you move back to NY and would like..

I never thought I would say, "I miss NY traffic" until I moved here.

I had two old people within one week ( a red corvette and a red G37 coupe ) turn onto the the wrong side of the road just as I was coming.
and nobody uses turn signals here. you wait for a car to pass and they turn in right next to you. I COULD HAVE WENT ALREADY!
If we are at an intersection with no turn only lane and I need to make a turn, I have to guess where they want to go.

the rednecks and the working people are more reckless than the old slow people so combined, its a big hazard for everyone.

you have to watch out for everyone else down here.

another thing that grinds my gears is when you go to pay for something, the clerk wants to make small talk. they usually talk about how busy they are at the same time they are being extra slow.
they don't even know what busy is. you can't make small take when it's busy and you cant be slow either. 3 customers in line does not = busy!!

I still have a lawsuit going so I'm sticking to a few good Dr's in LI. I still have no-fault coverage but unfortunately, my chiropractic coverage is all tapped out. the Dr ran up a huge bill and I was going 3x per week for months.
thats the most important thing for me at this point since the accident was two and a half years ago. I've been seeing a good chiropractor here but with my personal insurance, the fee is $60 for the adjustment, decompression and electro stim. i cant afford to keep paying $180 per week

Uhm, health care is just as if not more $#@!ed up than other business. It's all about making a buck without regard to fixing someone in 50-75 percent of what I've seen. As the saying goes... People need a good priest, lawyer, and doctor.

Did you know that 50% of all quackropractors and doctors finished in the bottom half of their class?

Do your research wherever you end up living - being "nice" doesn't count as being a good health care provider.

I can't be late paying my insurance but it takes years to collect what little compensation I can. I was screwed on my disability and even my Dr's get the run around to get paid. My massage therapist has been trying to collect for months and he finally got a lawyer to deal with the hassle. when he called my ins company to get paid, they gave hm wrong addresses and #s. I'm just lucky to have a good family because after my accident, I had more expenses and 0 income. I would have gone bankrupt at 26 years old. Imagine if having to pay rent, bills, and then doctors expenses after being unable to work. the doctors wont even see me if I didnt sign a waiver to incur the fees if insurance wouldn't pay. then a few quacks tried to talk me into getting more treatment and taking out a lein on my settlement

Honestly, I feel super bad for you! Not that you are asking for it or care that I say it. It's just the state of our healthcare system today and you represent a million plus people in this situation.

All that I can say is to say again that finding the fight people to fix you up is way tougher than getting people to fix our cars correctly. Unfortunately, it's about who you know and who your friends know. You need someone to take a personal interest in you. Forgive the analogy, but, if someone just plugs a "bt cable" in you and doesn't come up with the right "codes" that they know how to fix - they suck and they probably will keep taking your insurance money until you figure out that they suck and can't help you.

It shouldn't be this way, but, you need to be the one to do the serious research on your symptoms and find people through word of mouth, the web, or whatever other circle, that will actually try to fix you up right. I know this is a buzzkill, sorry to be this way.

its cool. thanks. I did all that research two years ago and I learned more online about my condition than most of my doctors could tell me. the ambulance and ER failed to check for a concussion, which is one of the 1st things they should do in a traumatic accident, so I spent a few weeks all whacked out in the head thinking it was the vicodin. I'm not asking for sympathy at all, just stating facts. I'm just glad that I can walk and stuff. the hardest part is in the past.
I spoke to a couple people with M.S. because a lot of the symptoms are the same so we can relate but my point is their attitude about it is just an inspiration. I went out drinking with one and he walked in the bar without his cane, so everyone else thought he was hammered. the owner was a dick and gave us a lot of $#@!. I spoke to another friend with MS 2 days ago and he went blind and paralyzed for a while. So yea, it's rough but I cant complain too much.

I need to move on. I thought moving here was the answer and now, hopefully, moving back may be the best thing for me.
