It's hard to compare because of different dynos. The Audi put down 616 or so on a Dyno Dynamics. This is on a Dynjet.

Either way, the Audi is showing insane numbers considering the 4.0 liters.

So because the engine is the same this isn't news because it's for a new drivetrain with new ECU limitations?

The ECU upgrade is the same with or without 4wd in Europe.

The software isn't the same so I don't see how it could be and not all E63's are 4Matic in Europe.

    It's news so um yeah...

Because if you read the article it states AMS was able to bypass the torque limits that others have struggled with. It isn't a question of being remarkable for the M157 in relation to previous M157 tunes but in the sense that they are able to offer that power with the new 4Matic drivetrain which most tuners are not able to at this time.

To confirm, there is no torque management in the tune now? Have you yet been able to try this on an ML63 4matic? The torque limits on my Renntech tune are very obvious and really killing the power down low and on the shifts.
    Current: 2013 GTR (built motor and trans, stock frame EFR 6758 turbo upgrade, 915 rwhp, 9.18 @ 150 on E85) - 2013 ML63 (Tuned by Renntech 12.0 @ 116) - 2000 E46 (SBC & F1R) 2003 S600 (Dad's DD Tuned)
    Past: 2011 Cayenne Turbo - 2006 Cayenne Turbo (catless and tuned) 2002 Z06 (Heads/Cam/Nitrous)
    Past: 2002 BMW M3 (AA Gen 7) - 2006 BMW M5 - 93 FD RX-7 (T66) - 88 FC RX-7 (LS1) - 90 FC RX-7

I think there still are limits to protect the drivetrain they just raised them.

Right but the 4wd and 2wd will have different numbers and require different tuning.

RWD Cars make more power, also what type of dyno is that? what does a stock car make on that dyno? too many details left out.

The torque management is still very much alive in our tune. We have just found a way to keep the car AND driver happy Click here to enlarge

At the crank, sure, but 2wd and 4wd will have different losses.

We are talking about hp and not whp, so yea crank. Thats normal in EU.
Thats why we need more power. The 4 matic have more drivetrain loss and more kg to move around with. Click here to enlarge

That's why I prefer wheel horsepower figures to show what the car is putting down to the ground as it can vary quite a bit.

Power and torque are not going to be a problem with tuned M157's. Looking forward to the turbo upgraded 4Matic's.
