I think the last annual fee I paid was 2,000 or 3,000. The initiation year fee was 5,000 and that was a couple of years ago so it has likely gone up. If you don't travel there is no need for the centurion card as the main benefits tend to be travel related (airline lounge access, fx rebate on foreign purchases, dedicated individual for concierge items).
I was talking with a friend of mine who eluded to that he needed to spend that amount. I couldn't call BS as I am a little short of the min requirements Click here to enlarge for a card like that. I do know their liquid worth is over the minimum requirement, sob just bought a Aventador.

Amex Platinum card is a better value, $450 vs $ 7500 ($2500 annually).

Pay your monthly bills by credit card and pay off at month's end. Give a greater weight to cards that have rewards programs. Running your monthly cash flow through your available credit is rewarded over time by higher FICO scores.

Amex is great. Having the ability to call them in any situation is helpful. Free roadside, no worry about buying big ticket items because if there are any problems they'll take care of it. I stayed at the W in the financial district in NYC and needed a new hotel in midtown. Called my Amex and they set me up with a room, asked me how my stay was and I mentioned they were pompous $#@!s at the W. Amex made the entire W stay charge disappear no questions asked. Oh and I have a business GOLD card with no spending limit. Annual 500 a year or something like that.

Back on topic. Buy an investment property. If interested PM me and I'll give you my office number.

Joe - where did you did this up? I ask as this is something I would imagine the majority of Centurion holders don't really want disclosed.
