Thread: Ukrainian Revolution

My father is 1/2 Ukrainian so he has been following this. Anyway, it boils down to Russia trying to control Ukraine and Ukrainians wanting to break away from them. A lot of countries have gone through it but Ukraine is considerably behind them and backward. Anyway, it's all pretty crazy and I can speak from experience that Ukrainians are a bit crazy. They value life differently over there. They don't mind losing people to get their change. Very different from the US where nobody wants to risk breaking a nail to get government to change.

Thought this was pretty epic:
The "humble" home in Ukraine left behind by the now fled Ex-president Yanukovich. Courtesy of the Ukranian Revolution!
Welcome to the Crib! Before today this property was heavily guarded by military.
Woow, nothing bad for the president of a country which is so "poor" to give his people access to basic services!
Is this... an arboretrum?
Golden handles. why not.
the Koi fish aquarium, in which he apparently goes in.
Of course a boxing ring to keep in shape
He likes art too!
I wonder where this path is taking us!
Of course! to the petting zoo!!
Which president doesn't need one of these.
He is a sensitive man
The marina, serves also as nation filing cabinet. He was trying to burn all the documents, but some of them are still being recovered.
But if you are not into boats lets check out the garage!
Of course he has his private golf course
and a gas station, who doesn't need one of those?
It was a lovely day out
Everyone is enjoying themselves in what is now a beautiful public park

No wonder he fled. Now if he was a legit businessman ok. But, he used public money that could have gone to the Ukrainians. He does know how to have a good time though.

The replica wooden galleon is what gets me. That's awesome.
Now to figure out how to get that much money legitimately.
