So who's been watching the latest season, and what are your thoughts on it so far?

Ehh It's different. I'm still not sure if I like it or not. It still has that same kind of humor, but it just isn't as good as it used to be IMO

I thought the ep before the most recent was a bit.. ehh, good but not 10/10

latest ep though is at least a 9.5/10, just line after line of comedic awesome.. i didn't get a couple of bits, and i can't find an explanation, but still high quality writing

They re-did season 1 episode 1 with the title character replaced with a velociraptor (ok, utahraptor)... if you do decide to watch...uh, don't be one of the many people utterly confused by why it's so popular, with a clicking hissing raptor hahah

if you NEED a second reason...

they entirely re-did the film clip for the top-gun dangerzone music video with characters from the show. (it makes sense WHY if you watch the show, many danger zone+kenny loggins references)

also, the writer for archer also wrote (and same voice actor for some i think) bobs burgers, sealab 2021, frisky dingo

aaaaand judy greer (voice of one of the characters, cheryl/carol/charlene) played a role in arrested development, and Jessica walter (lucille booth from arrested development) voices archers mother

and the voice actor for archer has done voices in family guy, aqua teen hunger force, venture bros and played a ridiculously varied array of physically acted roles haha

It's actually really funny but if you don't pay attention a lot of the humor will go over your head... It's honestly worth a watch. Also I think that some how some crazy way that archer is the father of Lana's kid

oh yeah, absolutely... IF you haven't watched it already

    it's just confusing and nonsensical

if you watch the show first, THEN watch the raptor episode... well it's worth a watch lol.

the jokes range from mild intellectual references that would go over the heads of a lot of people to just.... dead baby joke level offensive.

I guess I'll give this show a shot but from the descriptions I really don't understand the appeal.

It's well written, absolutely hilarious, characters work extremely well together, have relatable (yet ridiculous, and completely broken) personalities.

think james bond meets arrested development (though if you don't like arrested development, doesn't mean you won't like archer... i never FULLY got into AD lol)

it DOES get better throughout the run, and has some crossover episodes with bobs burgers and sealab too.

and the little things, like the guns/weapons in general used/shown have realistic actions and details, which weren't present in season 1.. the writers/animators go to the extra mile to make things special.

I'd link to some videos of the 'best' lines/scenes, but... it's just far too worth actually watching through to ruin it.

It definitely has a decent re-watchable quality also, there are a lot of things you may miss the first time around. It's a show that I'll put a few random episodes on when I'm doing some work as background noise that's not too distracting.

it's awesome the 1st or 2nd or 3rd time around. However vice kind of sucks. I hope they go back to the old story line and vice is forgotten about. We've already seen archer at baby sitting and while it was funny, I don't need to see it again...

It was really well done with the whole showing where the cocaine came from to Lana's baby to everything. I liked the whole Archer Vice break.

I've probably seen every episode three times now so I'm not sure what to watch now.

Parks and Rec I've watched to death. Same with Archer. Now what?

I started watching True Detective. It's slow, but entertaining.

House of Cards is badass and makes me want to be a politician, not really.

If you like Parks and Rec and Archer, you may like Community. Then there's always The Office, 30 Rock, and How I Met Your Mother.

For less comedy related Weeds is pretty decent and for hour long Shameless is great.

these are all shows where you can keep up with the storyline even if you're busy doing work and they are on in the background. They're not like Breaking Bad or The Walking Dead where you may miss a major plot device if you look away for 10 seconds.
