    I would take the GLA45 as well. ML is way too big now.

    Everyone with a brain knows the CLA is selling well due to the fact its a Mercedes with a low base price.

    You do realize the guy responsible for the M133 engine is now at VW and states the development cost and time was actually quite high? Additionally, he is now trying to outdo the M133 and it's a pretty tall order? But the way he is going about it is specifically to lower the cost of development versus what AMG had to spend?

    Mercedes is a bunch of pussies for not sticking a V12 in there. I'd buy it if it had a 6.0 liter V12 but a 5.5 liter V8 is just ricer.

    I read a comment on a BB about a group called Carlsson tuning an AMG 45 (CLA) to 450 horsiiiies and a 0 - 60 mph of 3.5 secs.. also in this article, the drivers claim they did 4.2 s 0-60 mph.. effing impressive

    The Golf R is not available with a DCT in the USA as already mentioned earlier.

    The next generation MKVII version should be.

    The Audi S3 is also not available yet in the USA.

    Even once they are (if) available here they will will not offer 45 AMG performance and they won't be much cheaper either.

    For now the CLA45 AMG is unopposed.
