    M156 Size/Dimensions

I am designing some racing car space Frame, the engine will be M156.
Unfortunatelly I will receive my engine in more or less 2 months but in the mean time I have to finish the CAD model.

For this I am looking for M156 blue prints (M159 would be also ok).
Or maybe could somebady send me some Pictures (front/side/rear/top...) putting some folding rule on the engine?

    First of all, welcome.

Essentially what you are looking for is just the measurements of the motor right?

I think one of our vendors that has done builds can help but nobody is going to send you any of their own CAD models. I'm sure they can likely provide dimensions.

Let's see what @Weistec @m54b25 have to say.

Those two likely have the best access to what you are looking for.

Also the m159 dimensions won't help you out much since it has a totally different intake/intake manifold with throttle body placement. Also uses a dry sump and is mated to a rear transaxle DCT

What are you putting this into ?!? Always wanted to see the m156 in something super light would be so bad ass with all that torque and top end power !! Also what trans are you going to use? MCT would be much better than the 7G if your sticking with oem. Very interested in this

Yes, I need only measurements of the Motor and of course nobody will send my CAD madel, Pictures are enough / blue prints were perfect.

It is a mid-engine design with Xtrac Transmission.

You can reach our RENNtech Germany office. They will probably able to help you, just bring your white light scanner.

Sounds similar (except for mid engine) to the CLK BS race car that Evosport built. I know they were running the Xtrac transmission too. Wonder what happened to that car....

What will you be using the car for ? Just a track car or will it be competing in a sanctioned series ?

We are (or mainly me) thinking about a sanctioned series. But at this Moment we are developing and building one or two cars.

By the way, I asked german Weistec Office for some drawings, but they say they only get data from US Office.

For a track only car I'd go with the M159 just for the dry sump oiling alone.
