(Video) E39 M5 Straight Pipes Vs. Audi S5 DMH Cutout Valves

Hi all, a friend of mine and I finally got around to doing some pulls with his M5 and my S5, the Results were quite as expected, as the S5 suffers from a poor power/weight ratio compared to the M beast. Well anyways, enjoy:

Well when it gets the SC V6 it will be a lot stronger.

None of the V8 Audi's were impressive. The E39 stands the test of time quite well, still a fairly strong car.

Very true. I wasn't expecting a triumph, but it's a bit disappointing with the lack of power that they gave the V8. My friend very well may have a factory freak M5 also...he's been pulling hard against cars that he technically shouldn't have an edge over. Interesting to say the least.

The S62 V8 is a better motor than any of the Audi 4.2's. It also is RWD so more efficient and likely less weight. The S5 is pretty heavy so as you said, not surprising. Still, his car seems strong.
