Of course it will get more power with a tune but it's way too early to guess tune power numbers when we don't even know how much HP it is packing stock.

as your post in the m157 E63 4matic RENNtech tune get 11.1 and the stock one get 11.7 so this is a big jump after tuning, this is my Question i don't care about the stock engine because the benz is always kill the power inside the engine to put the S Model and to be in the safe side i think Click here to enlarge

so my question is does the 4.0 litter will have this increase after tuning or will just have a little more as the A45 i think

if not i think im going for the E63 5.5L

The M177 will have room to be tuned. Think of it as two M133's put together with some cylinder head and valvetrain changes so it will likely rev higher.

The turbos will be on top so changing those will likely become common practice at some point whereas the M157 does not have top mounted turbos.

Both will be highly tunable platforms. For me, I'd go with whatever motor is mated to the lightest chassis with a dual clutch transmission. That likely will be the M178 in the upcoming AMG GT / SLC.

Wait until you get a taste on the new M177/M178. It's too early to guess figures or even torque figures since it might get underrated motor. In the meantime, S222 S63pp on the works now.

Bumping this back up with the launch of the 2015 C63, any news to share m54b25?

    469hp - Standard model
    503hp - S model

xtyper's M157 with Renntech Intermediate tune, air filters, & 95 octane did 624whp 729wtq SAE

I would be impressed if the intermediate M177 tune, even with 95 octane, will break 550whp.

For comparison's sake, the tune only BMW S55 motor with JB4 and E30 e85 mixture (~95 octane) makes 510whp.

The M177 will make more power and torque tuned than the S55.
