    RIP Paul Walker

If he was going to go out, this was the right way.

This is on TMZ also - which is normally pretty on point. The link just doesn't work right now, sites down.

There are several sites saying this is a hoax, but as you said TMZ is usually credible so not sure which is true.

Oh $#@!! Not surprising nobody survived...

Man, I don't know what to say. Going out with everything going for you that's terrible. I was really hoping to meet the guy one day as he seemed to have a genuine passion for cars.

It's a shame the passenger also died but fortunately nobody else was injured.

Wonder what kind of Porsche it was?

Read it as a Porsche GT. There's also a picture floating around of a red Porsche Carrera GT if those stories are accurate.

    Yeah this sucks if true.

    F&F Paul Walker dead

Whether or not you're a fan of the Fast and Furious franchise, Walker was a true car guy and I think deserves some respect. RIP.

Actor Paul Walker died in a car crash in Santa Clarita, Calif., on Saturday (Nov. 30), his rep has confirmed. He was 40 years old.
    Walker's team released this statement:

"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. - ‪#‎TeamPW‬."

Walker was best known for his roles in the "Fast And The Furious" movies.

TMZ reports that Walker was in a Porsche when the driver somehow lost control of the vehicle. It then slammed into either a post or a tree and then burst into flames and exploded.

It is not yet known what caused the driver to lose control, but the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said that the crash happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 28300 clock of Rye Canyon Loop.

Walker's other credits include “Varsity Blues,” "Into the Blue," “Flags of Our Fathers” and “Takers.” He is survived by his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow.

Either way, this is very bad news. He was doing a lot of charity work. Condolences to the family.

I'm very said. Paul was a symbol of our car culture. The f&f came out shortly after I had started getting into cars. I couldn't even drive yet, but knew what I wanted to be apart. R.I.P. Paul Walker. Hopefully those last moments in that Porsche were more exciting that than treacherous.

He was the passenger in a 2005 Carrera GT which apparently was his car. Man, this story just $#@!ing sucks...no other way to put it. True enthusiast, I've seen the videos of when he got to tour and drive some real GT-R's and he was totally into it. He really cared about this stuff, so sad to see someone in their absolute prime go.

    RIP Paul Walker

Sucks to hear. He seemed like a good dude, rarely ever bad press on him, truly into cars, and did a $#@! load of charity work.

I may just have to go get a tuna on white -- no crust, tomorrow.
