The weddings in NY are a joke, thats the biggest annoyance paying 4x what everything is worth to get married but even that when you see all your boys hammered truly enjoying themselves at your wedding its worth it. When it actually means something. I was told 10 times dude your wedding was great it actually looked like you guys are in love. LOL - so many times we heard that... kinda scary lol

My wife and I both go to the gym, both in shape , shes right back to where she was before the baby 3 months later and im attracted to her more than ever, ten years later just got married last February... I guess im really lucky i dont know lol
This is a wise man. I'd rep you again, but apparently I've rep'd you recently.

Here's my take and the advice I give to younger people: enjoy the time of life you are in. If you don't, you'll have regrets and never be happy. I had a blast in college - couldn't ask for anything more. I then buckled down in my career right after college and it has continued to pay significant dividends. I met my wife in my late 20s while attending grad school (and still working full time) and knew she was the love of my life. Because I hadn't wasted opportunities earlier in life, it was easy to settle down. We had a blast prior to having kids, and now are blessed with two amazing little kids that I wouldn't trade for anything.

Bottom line - make it all count and love what life brings you. You'll be a much happier person.

Never regret doing nice things my friend. the BIGGER picture will reward you.

Your kid is now at my favorite age, aka 15-30 monthes. Everyday is a blessing now that diapers and no sleep are a thing of the past, LOL.

I love my 4 and 8 year old to death, and just returned from a weekend of water parking with them. Only thing is, my old neck hurts like hell!!!!

    This.

Life gets very sad around the Holidays when everyone around you is either dead or married.

When your parents have passedand you are alone on the holidays because your friends have families and are doing there own thing it is rather depressing. I'm not talking holiday parties. Humans are social creatures. It is unnatural to be happy when you are all alone without family. Not saying there is anything wrong with being happy if you are all alone, but it is not common. Personally I enjoy the company of my direct and extended family immensely. I don't have an issue being alone but I would prefer to be with family vs. the alternative.

I know people in their 50s who regret not having kids because after they go they leave nothing behind other than material possessions which they can no longer have/use after they pass. Kind of a bleak outlook to me.

edit: While I really like the 1st post having kids at 40 means when they go to college you will be 60. When they have kids you will probably be 70. I did started my family at 30 so I could be more active with them and not so far removed from their generation, as well as the upside of getting to spend more time on this earth with my family. Kind a of a win win.

Sure it can be but is getting involved with someone because you are scared to be alone the right foundation to build on?

My dad is in his 70's and I don't have kids. I do have a father who provided a much better life and more opportunities than he would have if say he had me in his 20's.
