Looking for SALVAGED 335i n54 / 6 speed (going to be stage 3 car)

As the title says I'm choosing to take my very used 07' 335i and make it into a parts car and purchase a Salvaged 335 6-Speed N54 for the project. I will be keeping it for the extended future so I don't see the title being a problem.

    Car must be straight framed.

If you know of anybody selling one, or know the best place to look, please let me know.

    Thanks everyone

best of luck! ive been looking for a salvaged title car for awhile now they are very hard to come by. Im thinking about building a track/race only car. I think the n54 cars are going to become more rare as time goes on.

I have a dealer copart account. They are on there all the time, some are cheap, some are not so cheap. Prob is, its hard to find what you want. I ended up buying a car in PERFECT condition exactly the color combo and model I wanted from a guy on the fourms and since it was a HPFP buyback, I got it for about 4 grand more than I was seeing cars go on copart for that needed a lot of work. You just have to keep looking, copart also has quite a heavy fee schedule. I think your best bet is to stick to a private owner who wrecked his car or just wants out of it.

Thanks! I don't mind doing the work because like I said, I already have a 335 that I could part over. I just need a straight frame, a N54 (I could even swap mine, but I'd prefer to be able to build mine) and a MT.

If you see any on Copart that seem like great deals don't hesitate to post them!

Keeping my eye out, I only have found one and he wanted 10k for it, wouldn't budge, and I'm not paying that much for a crashed car. I wish I could find someone that could buy auctioned cars from insurance companies, I know there is a bunch of crashed 335s

why not just buy a high mileage 07, and rebuild it from ground up the right way.... new suspension parts where needed between your two cars should be in good shape, ALL bushings for subframe, diff, etc.... LSD, motor, take better interior, etc.... Id personally rather this than getting your hands on an auction car you have no idea about

I'd say just call a bunch of 3rd party dealers (like these guys: http://www.thriftautosales.com/web/faqs) and get them to comb the state auctions. I'm sure if you said "I need a manual trans, 335, and under $10k" and let them know you've got like 3 competing places looking for one, they'd try to get you results ASAP

Here are the 3 best I found just now:

    1. '07 Crimson Red Coupe from a BMW Dealer - $14k / 156k Miles. Could prob talk them down to $12k, maybe lower because of the mileage and no oil cooler.
    2. '07 Silver Coupe from a Private Seller - $18k / 29k Salvage Title. Obviously after a clean PPI, I'm sure you could press for $5-7k deduction. Find it hard to believe a salvage title / private retail is gonna sell for above $15k.
    3. '08 Black Coupe from a 3rd Party Seller - $19k / 70k Miles. This car is priced high, but it's also the only one with NAV. I would def question the price and press a reduction because it lists things like Cold Weather Package, but I don't see the heated seats buttons in any of the pictures, those look like M3 Comp Wheels which we know didn't come on the 335, and the vehicle has 2 previous owners

Looks like you're prob gonna be shopping the $10-15k range, which sucks cause you could prob buy a higher mileage, clean title for a little more. Other problem is that it doesn't seem that too many 6MTs are for sale.

Why are you doing this? I mean taking a working titled car and parting it out to put the parts into a salvage car is kind of backwards...

What is your end goal other than stage 3 turbos? If you are going for a race/track car shouldn't you be looking for 135s that have been wrecked?
