Gallardo 2000+HP 402km/h on the mile while on fire

Going 250mph while the engine explodes behind you requires steel nerves.
Braking, unbuckling the seat belt harnas and turning off the ignition, check.
Then, get the F*ck out! Cool dude.

I might have brought the car to a controlled stop before releasing my harness.

I don't really know about that. Say the car explodes while still doing 35 mph (or another non lethal speed). Would you want to be strapped to it at that speed or risk being thrown out of the chassis at that time.
If not in risk of crashing into anything (clear runway there) I think at an acceptable speed, if in a clear mindset, I would unbuckle too...

Think this is a repost, but the car is fine -- The bumper just got torched from the catless flames

Not a repost. Car on other clip you meant was black.
this time the engine blew just before passing the finish line doing 250 mph. Quite different.

55 seconds into the on board video... The car is still making power & the owner is only slowing down because the car is on fire. 6Speed reported this almost a month ago, the car is fine just the rear bumper/paint started to go on fire (which is why the smoke is very grey, vs. a blue-ish smoke & wheel lock that usually accompany a motor failure)
