    Look at photo number 4, car is sitting on the dyno rollers. I took delivery of the car Friday morning and it was on the dyno getting some baseline figures three hours later.

    The main reason we had the car on the dyno and the ECU opned up was so that Steve could take a look and download some data in preparation for the blower install. Car is going to SEMA and we will have limited time to get the instal completed so this couiple hours on the dyno really helped out Steve so he knows what to do in a couple areas once the blower goes on.
    Sooo.... I would love that graph.

    Awesome !!! Thanks for the updates good to know some data. So how is the curve on this M159 on roids? I know the redline on reg m156/159 is 7200 and the BS is pushing it to 8000 rpm. AMG always said the valve train on both motors was good for 8K but the auto/Mct on the m156 couldn't cope with it. Wonder if the heads are any different I'm sure the cams are to make power with the new rev limiter.
    So does it hold power pretty well to 8K or is their a drop off/ plateau
    I would think the valvetrain is quite different.

    That's fine I'm not interested in tuned charts at the moment anyway as they are still working on the tune so it would be an unfair representation.

    They are fabricating the headers and exhaust this week, wheels are being machined by Klassen and the blower goes on mid next week then off to SEMA and Optima. Should be a fun little toy.

    They have almost two weeks, they got the car first thing Monday morning . The blower install takes them 1 full day, they can install these blowers blindfolded. The headers will be on the car by this Saturday at the latest and wheels should be done by Tuesday. They are talking about loading up the car and heading to Vegas next Friday with it.

    The SLS BS is a wery nice car.

    if I read it correctly, your SLS first tunes now.

    there is a German that allready have his SLS BS tuned with the 2,3 l from Kleemann in september.

    Interesting considering AMG did not start delivering European BSs until Octorber. Mine was the fourth SLS BS delivered in the world and it was tuned by Weistec the day I took delivery so I can assure you mine was the first one with an aftermarket tune.

    I do know two black series haven been roaming the streets of Qatar as of late August. A few more were also around in the UAE.

    Got my info from AMG themselves, not sure how cars got delivered in UAE before the cars were even released to the public worldwide. September 6 was the first date they could be sold worldwide and on that date all cars were still at MB VPC's. I recieved a VIP allocation which the president of MB personally signed off on and I know who owns all the cars that got delivered before mine. USA and UAE were first global regions to recieve cars. Europe was last. I know of a VERY high profile VIP customer in Germany that purchased two SLS BSs and he could not get one before Oct first so I am certain there was not german owned SLS BS with a Kleemann blower on it in Sept. I get text messages and phone calls from people at AMG on a pretty regular basis so I am pretty sure my info is legit. The firsr SLS BS delivered is owned by Scott Preacher and his was delivered six days before mine, mine was delivered on 9/12, his was delivered on 9/6 and the only reason his got delivered first is he works with AMG and they wanted his car at the AMG Private Lounge days in Atlanta and they did not even get it there in time.

    Another reason I know none were delivered that early is there was a pre-release recall on them for faulty fender fasteners. The replacement fasteners were notmavailable until Sept.I have lots of inside info that was never made public on these cars.

    Who is the first to tune is not important.

    Becuase it only affected the first seven US cars built and first 5 UAE bound units, it was corrected at the factory for all the other cars. Cars were held at MB VPC's until parts were shipped in and retrofitted. My info is dead on, not sure where the other info in this thread is coming from. Not going to name drop but I am getting my info from one of the top guys of the AMG division of MBUSA. I got one of the first vehicles becuase they wanted the car to be at SEMA and compete in the Optima Invitational. If you are windering why on earth AMG would care aboutthe Optima, stay tuned next wek and you will see why, AMG is involved in a big way this year.....but what do I know??? Lol.

    Yes, he was a racer, not sure about trophy AMG racer though, and he is the same Scott Preacher that runs the PL and the same Scott Preacher that owns the advertising company that does advertising and marketing for MB and AMG worldwide. The same Scott Preacher that the factory built a one-off color CLK BS in 2008 for. He got the first SLS BS and you can go on PL and see the date he got it and posted photos, there were no others delivered to anyone, anywhere in the world, not Germany, not the UAE, nowehere....but then again, what do I know????
