PP-Performance tuned F13 M6 S63TU annihilates and puts bus lengths on a LP-560 Gallardo from a stop and roll - Trolling?

This video is a bit odd to say the least. It comes from BimmerBoost member Ghost who has provided some videos showing his tuned F13 M6 demolishing opponents including a stock F10 M5. That is definitely believable but this video showing his tuned M6 just crushing an LP560 Gallardo from a stop and from a roll is suspect. The M6 goes from being behind by several car lengths to bus lengths ahead in a matter of seconds as if there is a disparity of a few hundred horsepower between the cars.

A stock LP560 Gallardo is faster than the F13 M6 from a stop, roll, whatever. MotorTrend's recent drag race results for the F13 M6 show it is about a ~123 mile per hour car stock in the 1/4 mile. Fast, but not LP560 fast which has been tested up to 130 by magazines. Let's go with MotorTrend's own numbers which are 11.4@126.9:

How many miles per hour will tune and exhaust bolt on modifications add to the M6? Let's give the benefit of the doubt and say it brings it up to a 130 mile per hour 1/4 mile car. Even against a stock LP560 in a 1/4 mile it should take well into fifth gear from a stop in a drag race for the M6 to start to pull away against the lighter all wheel drive LP560 which is easily up to a second quicker in the 1/4 mile than the RWD F13 M6 especially on the street with street rubber. By 130 miles per hour (or 210 km/h as shown in the video) where the 1/4 mile should be about ending, the M6 is already putting bus lengths on the LP560 and pulling like a freight train.

It's tough to draw any conclusion other than the LP560 is letting off to accentuate the PP-P tuned M6's performance for the video. Especially considering how the LP560 gets its lead and then all of a sudden right before 130 miles per hour hits the M6 flies by as if a 200 shot of nitrous was hit when it should be a slow and gradual pull between these two.

This is an example of a video being misleading and why supporting data is necessary. Timeslips from the M6 would be great to have. There's a VBOX shown in the video, show us the data.

For some reason it is usually videos from Russia or overseas where performance is not backed up with timeslips that we get videos showing absurdly large differences between cars likely either for forum bragging rights or tuner promotion.

Come to your own conclusion, video below.

Sticky before i even read your post I found it odd that the m6 destroyed it from a did once it was going, that showed that the lambo had a traction advantage, so when they raced from a roll i expected the m6 to put miles on it but yet the results were about the same

It was a flat out annihilation, not even close.

It should take the M6 quite a while to catch and pull the Gallardo from a stop and even then a slow and steady pull...

Yeah, that makes no sense - he is allowing him to win. Even after the dig (advantage) - the lambo is pulling on the M HARD... I really think he is letting him pull. I don't understand this any other way. I will send this to my old co-worker, and see if he can see what the hell they are saying. Click here to enlarge

I don't know...I'm inclined to agree that the amount that the m6 pulled in such a short period seems odd but from what I always remembered even the e60/e63 walked gallardos up top. They were known for being beast from high speed rolls. I could go either way on this. Sometimes a favorable gear ratio can make all the difference especially when adding in the increased disadvantage of awd parasitic loss at higher speeds. I'mthinking tthis is what happened and the lambo driver pulled the plug once the m5 started to pass, giving the impression that it was a harder kill than it really was

Edit: this is what I was talking about with the last gen m6

Those were not LP560's those were early 5.0 liter cars with a very long first gear, lower redline, less power, non-direct injected, and heavier. Also older transmission software.

The old Gallardo's were 116 mile per hour cars. The LP560's are much faster.

This does seem a bit questionable. Maybe the hp numbers are off. But iirc, when this M6 raced the stock f10 m5, the m6 put bus lengths on it also. So that would mean the m5 would have been letting off just as the lambo. Maybe the M6 has more power than its reporting.

Which raises questions to the validity of that video as well and all this poster's videos. Additionally, an F10 M5 is much slower than an LP560.

Did it sound like the clutch was slipping a bit in the M6?

I don't know what to say...I mean you can clearly hear that the Gallardo is WOT...but there's no way that this can be happening. Unless they have, like, the strongest M6 ever built, and the best ever tune, and the car was absolutely perfect on that day. Even then. But you can clearly hear the Gallardo is accelerating full throttle, well into the point in time where the M6 starts pulling. Who knows. This might be a freak M6, this is insane.

I think this is a case where everything that leads up to the M6 catching and passing the Lamborghini is accurate. It's what happens when the m6 passes is what's questionable. I think the Lamborghini just lets off a bit once passed so it appears the m6 is much faster than it really is.
