Why no weistec 3.0 blower for the SLS engine ?

Weistec offers a 3.0 supercharger for the M113K and M156 engines, but not for the SLS M159 wich has "only" a 2.3 blower upgrade available... Is there a specific reason for that ?

Very good question I asked myself in the past.

It's coming Click here to enlarge

Keep in mind the SLS engine bay is a little different.

The SLR shares the same M113K motor (with some changes) as the blower upgrade they made for the E55's so it's only logical.

The SLS is a smaller market than other M156 motors plus the M159 has some changes so it will take longer to see different blowers.

I assume the Black Series is going to take some time due to ECU changes. Will be interesting to see the curve with the higher redline. Keeping that torque up while revving higher, well, that's the ticket.

It should not take them too long. Car has to be ready for SEMA by end of Oct. and I am not shipping them the car until mid September. Steve at Weistec says he only needs a couple weeks with it for their portion of build. The longest lead-time portion of the build will be the custom Klassen wheels which can not be started until the actual car is here so exact measuremnts can be taken.

Shipping mid-September and then getting ready for SEMA is a VERY short window. Regardless, I hope to see it there.
