Fuse to disable V8 Vantage exhaust butterfly valve
By removing fuse 22 in your Aston Martin V8 Vantage, you disable the butterfly valve in your exhaust. This makes the car's exhaust louder and to be honest, better sounding.
On doing the smallest amount of googling, a thread from 2008 with a lot of information from users: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/a...22-pulled.html
Moogle: "Pulling the fuse can lead to seizing of the solenoids in the muffler - it also causes the car to run rich on the lower rpm spectrum which isnt that bad but isnt good either."
ATL: "I had a talk with the dealership Aston Martin of Atlanta and they said instead of pulling the fuse, they put a little beebee (sp?) pellet into one of the tubes."
Really? A BB bullet?
Wheel B: "the dealer pulled the fuse while the car was on the lot they said they sell more since it sounds alot nicer ...i left it off since day one"
