    Sorry for your loss.
How did he still manage to drive home? That's insane and just asking for it.

What are you expecting from someone who is heavily intoxicated once again? A resounding speech on the dangers of drunk driving and the potential ramifications or a stupid decision with impaired judgement?

I think this could happen to a lot of people. You get drunk and don't realize what you are truly doing. Don't be so quick to condemn him it could happen at any age really unless you think in advance about it and how you plan to get home.

No because nobody was killed. If he had been I'd say it was unfortunate as it's a waste of life. I wouldn't use the tone that he deserved it.

Once again, impaired judgement from alcohol can happen at basically any age. Once you aren't thinking clearly what does age have to do with it? Because you are 30 you should probably know your limits but once you pass them what can be done other than taking his keys away or him giving somebody his keys knowing he would be drinking? I'm sure friends are probably wishing they took them but I really think this could happen to a lot of people it just is unfortunate and a senseless loss.

The guy had some deep issues man. Not everyone is the same. Unfortunately some people dont learn till its too late. I used to wish he would get a DUI at times. THis was his fate I guess.

    Sorry for your loss, OP.
Thank you! It's been devastating but everyone is doing better every day except for his lady. That poor thing will be damaged for life. God works in mysterious way. It's crazy how he separated both of them that night, or else it could have been her life too.

Thanks everyone! And yes! I'm sure he had no clue what happened. Guy was pretty much dead as soon as he got in the car, it was a death sentence.

I think he found it and reinstalled when we thought he was passed out. My memory is hazy as I was drunk as well.
He was a loose unit and unfortunately did kill himself a few years later.
