Probably cause he didn't want timing corrections like me, but I wanted to see how a daily driver set up would hold up, but that really makes no sense, when am I doing 150 races on the street.

Added fuel doesn't always mean more power, just how its tuned. Dan and I were both having trouble getting the cobbs to log, mine kept getting an error and turning off.

Thank you, I appreciate the response... this video provides a lot of information.

BTW... very smart and logical thinking.

Spot on, it shows these are very comparable set ups and if you want to really push the edge on these (V3 and singles are really pushing the edge), you will do it through tuning and pushing boost up over 20 psi which Dan and I don't want to do.

Dan, did you get a log off on either of our runs?

I did not Click here to enlarge i had trouble with mine half the time. The other half I got up there so excited to race I would forget to turn it on.

Here are my dyno results on Thursday, still the same tank of fuel but with a cleaned up map. We were targeting similar power so probably in the 470-490 range on a given dyno and day.

Let me say this: I was extremely interested in these two cars and talked to both extensively. Im definitely looking to upgrade in the next year, but i have no bias. Neither were in kill mode yesterday and both have different goals for their car. None of these passes are representative of the maximum output of the hardware on either side. If the only video of the event was from me and the Vargas car, people would be asking why he didn't pull on my more. That's not fair.

There are many differences in these cars, turbos being one of them. Yes it was a Vargas/RB race, but it was also an I/IS race. an LSD/non LSD, an AT/MT race as well. I was there and couldn't draw enough of a conclusion about which one was better or which one I'm going to buy... you probably shouldn't either.

Looking at logs comparing 4th gear on my dyno at 479whp at 6k rpms where I hit max horse power, I was actually .086psi higher and .75 degrees higher on the dyno. So odds are 479 is pretty darn close.

Honestly, it would have been great to get a race off with both of us in kill mode to compare (odds are my fueling couldn't handle that), but realistically, we probably could have tried 10 more times and not gotten as clean and as even as a start as that first one with the traction and transmission variables.

I would have loved to see a 40-roll to take some of the launch variables out. Next time Click here to enlarge. Our local club has been working hard to make a similar event happen in Indy. I would certainly let everyone know if it happens.

True, but being we were so close on the first race from a dig, it was effectively from a roll and we had high hopes of repeating the results. Honestly through, I haven't ever launched the car like that and I was having a lot of fun doing it. I really need to hit up the strip.

Looks like the RB is pushing a bit more up top. These trap numbers back up my first thought, the is was pulling at the very top of each gear, but was losing ground between shifts.

most of my runs were 149+ fyi. and I think both of our best runs were also just about dead equal at 150.8 or so

oh here we got with VTT talking about the tuning again lol..

why the hell did that event go from a gid for a 1/2 mile? i guess it makes sense for timing, but its really just a long drag race, combining the 2 aspects seems like a great idea, but if they have the room, should have went from a roll

    yes

    and yes

once again... the RB car was more impressive seeing as how everything was going against him... if Vargas wants to tout his half a car win with E70, and an auto tranny then so be it... but the results are here for everyone to see and make their own decision.

Yeah you are right. Tuning doesn't make any difference in these cars. It shouldn't even be mentioned that they both are on conservative tunes. They all run the same no matter what tune they are on. Guy again proves himself to be an idiot. Par for the course. Cool story bro

If I want to tout my half a car win? BAHAHAHAHAHA you guys are hilarious, just go over Rob's house and hook him up with a BJ while you are at it. Many of you guys said the stage 2's were not even going to be close, etc etc blah blah blah. Here we have our first race on near even cars we come out ahead and the RB cheerleaders want to discount everything as they always do. Last time I checked a win is a win, and it was actually 2 wins. Honestly LM will never buy one our products so I could care less what he has to say, actually the people who are customers or are going to be are who concern me. The bored people who claim they surf this forum for a "brother" who has a 335 are just cool story bros and background chatter.
