    How much faster is the new 2013 twin turbo M157 V8 powered G63 AMG than the previous supercharged M113K G55 AMG? This much

    Great race video here showing the different between the new G63 AMG with the M157 Twin Turbo 5.5 liter V8 versus the previous generation G55 AMG with the supercharged 5.4 liter M113K V8. A recent Car and Driver test showed numbers for the new 2013 G63 AMG that were not all that much faster than what was achieved with the G55. Car and Driver got a 1/4 mile time of 13.5@106 which is just slightly faster than what many tests have achieved for the G55.

    Well, in practice, the difference is VERY large. As the race video below shows the G63 AMG simply walks away. The supercharger is simply no match for the M157 turbos up top. Thank you to BenzBoost member @GT2 for bringing up this video to show the real world difference.

    @Sticky , I do believe the G63 is faster and would pull quicker than the G55. You need to know that this particular G63 is tuned. It's not stock, which I am very surprised to why @GT2 hasn't told you.

    Useless Race. G class as the Last True 4x4 car with rigid axles it's meant to rule Offroad not racing on the highway or drag strip. Even if one can beat another a ML 500 or Cayenne n/a will outrun them badly im straights or slalom
