    paying for a lease upfront

    ive never leased before but what are the negative effects of paying for the entire lease upfront if something happens to the car say like it gets totaled, stolen, lemoned.. etc ?

    Why would you even want to do this? The point of leasing is to keep money in your pocket.

    im planning to buy the car but i need a little more cash and i dont want to take out a loan and my parents wont co-sign unless i buy it

    If you intend to pay for the lease up front that's more than enough to buy the car. I don't even see why you would need a cosigner with that large of a downpayment unless you can't demonstrate income or history.

    its too hard to find an m3 that has what i want, then i would have to fly out and see the car and ship it back and the used car prices dont make it worth it

    Trust me dude I know exactly how you feel, I was searching and still am searching for an M3 I either miss the opportunities or I cant find one to my liking. None the less. Best of luck with getting a car

    If you're still in school, you don't need the debt that comes along with a new car.
