@JRCART - Jim why did you decide to go with another blower instead of the twin turbo setup ? I know Steve and the guys are the best out there, but I would think for road racing the TT is more ideal. Did you discuss it with World Motorsports?

Twin Turbo isn't proven yet and haven't seen one fabbed yet on the Black Series? Also, the blower offers more linear power which I would want on the roadcourse. Less complicated install and easier to remove as well should it come time to move on.

    Regardless, good question though.

The ZR1 does pretty well. Just saying.

Its all about proper tuning for a road course. Cooling is big as well.

A number of reasons why I am going the Weistec route, proven systems(plural), proven power, proven reliability. I have had long discussions with the guys at Weistec and I have stressed that I want this car to be 100% solid on road courses, I stressed that I need the car to be able to driven hard for 20 to 30 minutes stints on a road course. Believe it or not both Steve and Mike are very in tune with road racing having spent much time as engineers on a high profile team that ran the Rolex series, not sure if they want me to disclose what team or details so I will not but they are not just sraight line drag race guys. They know what I want and I trust them to deliver. Not too many of their customers have put one of their systems through the paces on a road course, I hope to be able to prove out their product in that environment and I dont think they would put their name on something that they were not confident of delivering 100% on. I guess what I am saying and could have said about three paragrahs ago is that I trust them.

I am actually thinking about doing a Willow rental next month, if I do you are welcome to come out and you are welcome to drive the car and see for yourself whether you think the system is a good for road race applications or not, you have driven my CLK at Willow, I trust you with it and you know that track so if anyone can put a car through its paces there its you.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'd be happy to shake it down and run a session in that thing. I have a feeling I know what you and Steve are shooting for with the larger blower for road racing. I'm sure it'll be bad ass.

I was at Weistec this past weekend, the car is progressing nicely. They said it should be wrapped up in a couple weeks, in plenty of time for the No Fly Zone event.

I am going to have the boost up a little higher for the No Fly Zone event next month but then I will swap out the pulley and detune it a little. This build is still moving forward as planned as a road course capable car that can withstand an afternoon of abuse at a track day.

Standard Stage 3 boost is about 11psi. We will see about turning boost up for the track event.
