New monitor suggestions? High res and 27 inches and up

Just don't have enough real estate to work with. Have a billion windows open at all times and 1920x1080 on the laptop isn't cutting it.

So... time for a dual monitor setup. I'm thinking dual 27 inch Apple Thunderbolt Displays:

I want a minimum of 27 inches with 2560x1440 res. Work performance and real estate is the primary concern, not gaming.

Dude so funny that you posted this.

I just did a ton of searching online for monitors for the new computer I just built.

Found out that there is a company that has the same exact display that the Apple Thunderbolt display uses except they charge less than half what apple is charging for the monitor lolol

I know exactly where that is, off the 55 freeway.

Same panel? Wow, talk about markup. The apple looks way better though.

    But... I changed my mind.

What about this bad boy? 30 inch 2560x1600 Dell UltraSharp U3011. I guess this is the currently the best? Imagine three of these:

Yup same exact LG S-IPS 8-bit LED panel is used in that monitor, just a different brand name

You can find them on ebay as well under other names. Only thing that sucks is that if you get it off ebay you have to wait since they come from South Korea

Since ive built my computer ive kind of fallen out of the market updates, so instead of direct you wrong, ill refrain. If i had the choice, id go for some high-end IPS monitors at 2560x1600

Ya I know that but it does have nice aesthetics. I don't mind paying more for a brand name. I have a Louis Vuitton wallet, Prada sunglasses, and own an M3.

Alright give me suggestions. High end 2560x1600 is exactly what I'm looking for.

True, but in this case, the performance is 99% of what it does. An M3 is a great performer as well as a luxury car. But the LV wallet is similar to the monitors, in theory Click here to enlarge

As far as suggestions, besides the Apple, theres the Microcenter korean monitor, and all the Acheivas and Catleap ebay monitors.

I don't know if they have those in 30" or not

I'd have to do some digging around on OCN

But for $400 they are hard to pass up even though they are 27"

Ok pretty much set on a couple of the Dell 30 inchers. Anything better in the $1000-$1500 per monitor price range before I order?
