    Speedriven 55 AMG M113K 2.9 liter whipple supercharger upgrade, anything coming of this?

    Weistec already released theirs with results and specs but Speedriven was making some bold claims and nothing has come of it since May.

    Our goals are to retain the complete stock look of the kit, have our price point around $6,000, bolt in installation, and of course a generous power gain. Our preliminary system as of now will include:
    -2.9L Whipple Supercharger
    -Custom intake manifold runners which will retain the stock intake plenums on top,
    -Custom mounting plate for the supercharger
    -New larger and much more efficient intercooler
    -Bypass valve housing which will continue to utilize the factory bypass valve
    -Throttle body inlet plate to retain the use of the factory throttle body inlet
    -Inlet spacers to allow the use of the stock airbox system
    -Custom Y-Pipe to the factory inlet plenums
    -Custom mounts for the factory sensors such as the MAP senor
    -Custom Supercharger Gearing
    -Custom pulley snout and pulley size (In the future smaller pulley sizes will be available for more boost!)
    -And all necessary hardware for installation
    -Custom Tuning will be in addition to the kit with different pulley sizes


    Our kit is to be released in stages.
    -Stage 1 Will be the bolt on kit running the stock boost level, but because of the efficiency and size of the blower and intercooler, the car will make significantly more power.

    -Stage 2 Will include the kit plus an additional smaller supercharger pulley to increase the boost level. It will also include a custom tune.

    -Stage 3 + Will add modifications such as an 82mm TB and Longtube headers. If you have an existing 82mm throttle body it will work with the kit!

    I can check. But I think a TT E55 would be sick.

    TT would be great but an SC upgrade makes the most sense on this platform.

    It does. But I like to be different. I shattered the trans, broke the driver side rear axle, and cracked the stock diff with the stock SC. Imagine what people are gonna have to do to beef up these parts with the bigger SC.

    Not to be a downer but I'm surprised the stock AMG rear end isn't stronger. That trans also was used in the 65's I'm surprised on that as well.

    Sound like people are going to need to beef up the trans and other areas.

    truth...we had a customer pick up his car from us (65), roll from launch his first time out and made great time, then decided to launch the f outta it (MIR) Apparently the track was quite sticky (your shoes would stick) and he got great traction ... for the first few seconds. Apparently they poured parts out of the diff lol...

    The 65 tranny has different clutch packs and tq converter is different from the E55. We use either Wave Trac or Quaiffe for the LSD. And the trans, valve body, and tq converter can all be modified.

    Mine did it while I was picking on an M3.

    I see, so the 65 got some upgrades. Yes, this 5-speed is stout and used in a ton of stuff so I don't see any issue with upgrades.

    Yes they are stronger. My friend has a CL55 with 65 clutch packs and converter. That car is violent when it launches. He runs 10.6s and about 3 weeks ago he broke the drive shaft. His car is a freakin monster.

    Let me see if I can find the video of us from last week at PBIR.
