    Flooring for basement?

I built my house a couple of years ago and have the basement framed, insulated, wired and the plumbing complete. I am about to start the drywall but the flooring has become a hard decision. We have hardwood and tile in most of theMain floor and would like to continue with wood in the basement. I know I can't/shouldn't put solid hardwood down there but might be able to put engineered hardwood down. So it is between that or carpet. The basement is dry and my house is built in sand so the drainage is great. My main concern is the humidity from inside the house. What do you guys think?

I think you should be concerned about the humidity.

Why wood? Are you going to be using it as a game room or fun room?

over the years humidity will ruin the wood for you. But i would do it just for the look. Engineered wood is the way to go.

Try PVC with a wooden print.
Feels warm to the touch (insulates very well) and looks just like the real deal.
It will also not give any humidity problems ever.
There are two theories to arguing with women. Neither one works
