    Drives: Basically a pretty bad ass f250 lifted with 24" wheels! Dpf delete 4" exhaust h&s tuner and intake..

    Dodger,

    Back in the mid 90's we campaigned a SS/D Hemi Cuda (held the record for a couple of years) and had we had a very good chassis man on the job. Now that the summer break is over he is back and want to come up with a plan to address the traction issue. At this point it is useless to throw more power at the car is we can only apply partial throttle in 1/2 and it isn't until we are half way through 3rd that the go pedal can be put to the floor.

    Earl - like I said before in a different thread - until you address your suspension you're going to continue to have traction issues. The road race suspension geometry on the BS is not setup for the amount of weight transfer needed to launch the car from a dig. Especially considering how much extra power you are putting to the wheels. I know you're aware of this and I think when you change everything out and soften up the rear considerably you will be seeing 9's with much better launches and the ability to get into the throttle much earlier.

    my suspension worked beautifully yesterday. I was amazed at the traction I was getting. My revalved rear shocks seem to be just what the doctor ordered. The fact that Earls last event was a street type shootout event hurt him and that yesterday there was a bracket event with a bunch of 7 dragsters running at Byron probably helped me by laying down lots of rubber.

    Earl, get your car to Byron ASAP!

    I realize conditions at MIR in the winter are probably the best in the country IF you get a good clear day. We have plenty of those he in socal in the winter and the conditions are always great...plus you could have Weistec on hand for the record breaking and celebrate in LA Click here to enlarge

    I know my schedule is tight and in talking with Earl he is going to be out of the country in late Oct if I am not mistaken. I have a vacation planned mid Oct. and might have something going on at SEMA in late Oct. early Nov.

    I'll be at SEMA but don't think my car will be.

    Either way let me know what you two have planned I will gladly go to the East Coast for MIR in the Winter.
