If all goes as planned this week my car should have a decent street tune in it. Bimmerfest east is this weekend, and Friday they rented out MIR. I don't think I can make it with the wife nearing the 9th month marker, but I wouldn't mind going to a local track.

    my 2 best were 12.3@119 and 12.2@118

not sure about bests for G37x, but it ran 12.3@118 on that run, and im not sure about ET, but comments said it was within 1 mph of 118 all night, so probably 118 of a high, but et varying

i tapped the rev limit at least once on every run, some were just split second, some were wrappign it out. i think 119 would be normal, maybe a 120 in perfect conditions. rpms just rise so quickly, and 1 and2 nd gears seems to have a lower rev limit by 1-200 rpms.

I may try the D5 mode to take me out of the equation

Sorena - you have Akrapovic full exhaust? I am looking for an exhaust - spoke to a few people on the forum, and am trying to gather info before I bite. What car is it on? Any sound clips (outside or inside) the car?

I am guessing quite = quiet, is the sound really that sedated?

Sorry for the million questions - but if I am going this route (expensive) - would like to know your opinions.

    Thanks.

Sorry i meant quiet. And no videos so sorry here too. But this video is exactly like how my cars sounds.

On my previous M3, a E90, i had Eisenmann race with Challenge catless X-pipe. It sounded beautifully but it was too loud for my passengers and it would make an unpleasant ride for them. It would set the parked cars alarms on under WOT too. It wasn't as loud as LM clip but it was harsher with so much drone inside the cabin.

So this time when i got the E92, i went for a Akrapovic Evolution. It's very beautifully made and is by far the best quality exhaust out there. Fits very nice without doing any hard work. And about the sound it keeps the OEM tone which i'm a fan of and makes it louder without making it any harsher or too much deep. I really like the sound and also with it's HFC, it's street legal here so another good point. It's got resonator so no drone in cabin under WOT. But sometimes, just sometimes, i wished it was louder and there is a solution for that and that's GT4 X-pipe but that deletes the resonator too and with louder sound, it bring the unpleasant drone with itself. So for something that's my DD, i prefer to have quieter (still it's much louder than OEM exhaust) without any drone than something that shouts but annoys me or my passengers in a ride to work or something.

I or anyone on net only can help you about the quality (which is top notch), fitment (it fits very beautifully) and the feeling (overall i'm pleased with the sound, HP gain and the weight reduction). But IMO you should hear it in person to judge it. Videos don't do the justice at all. We may have very different tastes and expectations so basically me saying it sounds good don't help you as you may like something with a different tone and a different pitch. So as said, you need to hear one to make the final decision.

Good luck. Click here to enlarge

I love cutouts bro. Only problem is if they fail in the open position...
Lol had to drive around in my Z06 and my CLK with them open for a bit due to the motors failing.
Awesome setup though man, sounds great.
