    the e92 doesn't have a resonator, the e90 does. e92 exhaust has 2 cats, 2 mufflers

The E92 DOES have a resonator, it's about half the size of the E90 resonator. I've seen both exhaust systems side by side off of any car.

Both models have 4 cats as well. 2 at the DPs and 2 secondaries. I'm not sure where you're getting your information from.

LOL I told you on E90 via PM that the E92 does NOT have a resonator - its an Xpipe.
You are better off getting an aftermarket x-pipe (check usual exhaust manufacturers, magnaflow, etc) as its unlikely anyone removed the x-pipe connection from their OEM exhaust.

turkish is correct, it is pretty much just an X-pipe.

I just bought one of these: http://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/...oductId=759589
Alot easier than trying to find someone selling just the xpipe from an e92.

On my car it didn't make a huge difference, at least I was hoping for more sound. But combined with catless downpipes, and the golf t mod it's enough to keep me from buying an aftermarket exhaust... for now.

I have c@tless DPs but kept the secondaries and have the oem E90 resonator and I like the sound....that resonator seems restrictive though. I just don't want to get a sound I don't like by removing the resonator

You should be fine then, without doing the golf t mod, the difference between resonater an x pipe was barely noticable.
